On Monday, August 21, 2023, a boy named Mohd Abbas (22 yrs. old) killed a 15-year-old Hindu girl, name undisclosed, in Siliguri's Matigara locality. The incident is reported as the victim was returning home from school at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Finding no one around, the Girl was abducted from the lonely road and taken into a nearby abounded house by the defendant, Mohammad Abbas. He, originally, attempted to sexually exploit her, but when the girl started yelling for help, realizing that he might get into trouble, he violently bludgeoned her face and fled away from the site.
